See What God Can Do Through You
In practice, Mission (a term with many synonyms, including service, benevolence, compassionate care, alms-giving, and so on) describes the acts, ministries, policies, and theology that grows out of Christian response to Jesus’ call to love one’s neighbor as oneself.
Below is our list of current mission work we carry out through financial and volunteer support for these various organizations:
Our Missions
Clarence Community Pantry, Inc.
The Clarence Community Food Pantry was started in 1980 by Nancy May to assist less fortunate local fami- lies. The pantry is located at Clarence Presbyterian Church and serves residents of Clarence, Clarence Center, Town of Clarence and the Clarence School District. Donations are received on Mondays, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm or by appointment. Many organizations and individuals throughout the Clarence area contrib- ute food and monetary donations as well as time and it is deeply appreciated!
Family Justice Center
The Family Justice Center of Erie County provides services and support to individuals in unhealthy relationships, and the education our community needs to break larger cycles of relationship abuse. Our comprehensive and collaborative service model tears down barriers to service, enabling our clients to heal and cultivate hope.
Friends of Kenya Rising
We assist Kenyan students and their families as they rise out of poverty.
Gigi’s Playhouse
To change the way the world views Down syndrome and to send a global message of acceptance for all.
Hearts & Hands
Hearts and Hands connects caring volunteers with older adults by providing transportation, in-home supports, and caregiver respite to uphold their dignity, improve their quality of life, and enhance their ability to live in their home of choice and to assist their primary caregivers.
